Formed in 1981 to lend a helping hand to the needy senior citizens in the Metro Denver area, ASC's mission is to ensure that no senior citizen goes without the necessities of life, including food, shelter and public services. We have "2 full time staff, 14 part time staff, and 20 volunteers." The Association for Senior Citizens does not discriminate against staff, board members, or the clientele being served. ASC does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability or veteran status. "ASC collaborates with Energy Outreach Colorado, formerly ( Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation ), Community Shares, Denver Human Services, Food Bank of the Rockies, Grocery Warehouse, Senior Resource Center, Volunteers of America-- Meals on wheels, Rebuilding Together, and other agencies in the delivery of services to seniors." The Association for Senior Citizens is proud to serve the needs of the Senior Community throughout the seven Metro area counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Douglas, Denver and Jefferson.
