Formed in 1981 to lend a helping hand to the needy senior citizens in the Metro Denver area, ASC's mission is to ensure that no senior citizen goes without the necessities of life, including food, shelter and public services. We have "2 full time staff, 14 part time staff, and 20 volunteers." The Association for Senior Citizens does not discriminate against staff, board members, or the clientele being served. "ASC collaborates with Energy Outreach Colorado, formerly ( Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation ), Community Shares, Denver Human Services, Food Bank of the Rockies, Grocery Warehouse, Senior Resource Center, Volunteers of America-- Meals on wheels, Rebuilding Together, and other agencies in the delivery of services to seniors."
